Your line that the nine PhenoAge biomarkers get "packaged as a single number and labeled biological age" reframed the whole study for me.

Once you walk CRP, fasting glucose, albumin, ALP and RDW back to metabolic-inflammatory burden, the "accelerated aging" headline reads as the same biology wearing another discipline's label.

Younger cohorts are not aging faster so much as carrying the inflammatory load earlier, and the clock is just the readout.

Nangalia's shared-upstream question is the caveat I would want stapled to every press write-up of this one.
